Preventative Training

Accidents at work can happen in many different ways, sometimes unexpectedly. New employees are often involved in work accidents because they are not aware of the dangers involved with the job. That is why early preventative training and induction procedures are so important for new employees to help prevent accidents at work.

Training needs to cover all aspects of the job - the use of protective boots and clothing when required, the way to lift heavy or awkward weights, how to use ladders safely, how to operate machinery etc - each job carries different risks of injury.

The employer must alert employee's to the possible dangers, and take practical steps to try and remove or reduce the level of risk of a work accident as far as possible.
